Friday, November 19, 1999 will be the first annual Stony Brook Chemistry Research Day, to be held in the Student Activities Center from 12 noon to 5 pm.  This event will be a celebration of the diverse research in our department.  You will have a chance to present your own work and see what other members of the department are up to.  Chemistry Research Day will be open to the public, and to friends at Brookhaven National Lab and local colleges and high schools.  This is your chance to show your stuff!

The schedule will be as follows:

Graduate students interested in having dinner with Dr. Fowler after the colloquium should speak with Diane Godden.

If you are a chemistry graduate student or postdoc conducting research, please plan to present a poster on your work.  We also encourage undergraduates in the department to participate in Chemistry Research Day with their own posters.

Please contact Diane Godden or Irene Wade by Wednesday, Nov 10 with the title for your poster.  We need an accurate count to make sure we have enough easels (and lunch food) for everyone.  A list of the posters will be available at the event.

Chemistry Research Day is your day.  We look forward to seeing all of you on Nov. 19.

    Yours,
    Nancy Goroff
