Faculty Research Interests

The Stony Brook Chemistry faculty have diverse backgrounds and research interests, with a significant emphasis on interdisciplinary research. Total research funding is over $6 million/year from government, non-profit, and industrial sources.

Students have access to research projects in the broad range of chemistry fields as well as studies at the interfaces of chemistry and other disciplines (materials science, physics, molecular biology, pharmacology, geoscience, and others)
